Plant Information
Plant Care
Wine and Roses Weigela Tree Form requires minimal maintenance to thrive. Regular watering is essential during the first growing season to establish a deep root system. Once established, it becomes relatively drought-tolerant. Fertilize in early spring with a balanced, slow-release fertilizer. Prune after flowering to maintain the desired shape and remove any dead or damaged branches. This plant shows excellent resistance to pests and diseases.
Planting Instructions
Select a location with full sun to partial shade and well-draining soil. Dig a hole twice the width of the root ball and equal in depth. Remove the plant from the container and gently loosen the roots. Place the tree in the hole, ensuring it’s planted at the same depth as it was in the container. Backfill with soil, tamping down gently to remove air pockets. Water thoroughly and apply a 2-3 inch layer of mulch around the base, keeping it away from the trunk. Stake the tree if necessary for the first growing season to ensure upright growth.
