Plant Care
Wild Lupine thrives with minimal maintenance once established. Water regularly during the first growing season to establish a deep root system. Avoid fertilizing as these plants prefer poor soil and fix their own nitrogen.
Planting Instructions
Plant Wild Lupine in spring or early fall, spacing plants 12-18 inches apart. Dig a hole twice the width of the root ball and at the same depth. Place the plant at the same level it was growing in the container, backfill with soil, and water thoroughly. Add a light layer of mulch around the plant, keeping it away from the crown to prevent rot. These plants have a taproot, so choose their location carefully as they don’t transplant well once established.
