Plant Information
Plant Care
The Weeping Threadleaf Cedar is relatively low-maintenance once established. Regular watering is essential during the first growing season to develop a deep root system. After establishment, water moderately during dry spells. Fertilize in early spring with a slow-release evergreen fertilizer. Pruning is typically unnecessary but can be done in early spring to maintain desired shape and size.
Planting Instructions
Plant in spring or early fall for best results. Dig a hole twice the width of the root ball and at the same depth. Remove the plant from the container and gently loosen the roots. Place in the hole, ensuring the top of the root ball is level with the soil surface. Backfill with original soil, tamping down gently to remove air pockets. Water thoroughly and apply a 2-3 inch layer of mulch around the base, keeping it away from the trunk.
