Plant Care

Three Lobed Coneflower is a low-maintenance perennial that thrives with minimal attention. Deadhead spent blooms to encourage continuous flowering and prevent self-seeding. Cut back stems to ground level in late fall or early spring. The plant may require staking in windy locations or if grown in partial shade. Divide clumps every 3-4 years to maintain vigor and prevent overcrowding.

Planting Instructions

Plant in spring or early fall, spacing plants 24-36 inches apart. Dig a hole twice the width of the root ball and at the same depth. Remove the plant from its container and gently loosen the roots. Place in the hole, ensuring the crown is level with the soil surface. Backfill with soil, water thoroughly, and apply a 2-inch layer of mulch around the base, keeping it away from the crown. Water regularly during the first growing season to establish a deep root system.
