Plant Information
Plant Care
Sprite Star Astilbe thrives in consistently moist, rich soil and requires regular watering, especially during hot summer months. Remove spent flower plumes to maintain appearance and prevent self-seeding. Apply a layer of mulch to retain moisture and suppress weeds. Feed with balanced fertilizer in early spring and mid-summer for optimal growth and flowering.
Planting Instructions
Plant in spring or fall, spacing plants 12-18 inches apart. Dig a hole twice the width of the root ball and at the same depth. Position the plant at the same level it was growing in the container, backfill with soil, and water thoroughly. Add a 2-inch layer of mulch around the plant, keeping it away from the crown to prevent rot.
