Spiked Punch Pinks are low-maintenance plants that reward gardeners with continuous blooms throughout the growing season. Deadhead spent flowers regularly to encourage reblooming and maintain plant vigor. In late fall, cut back foliage to 2 inches above ground level to prepare for winter dormancy.
These hardy perennials benefit from a light fertilizer application in early spring and again mid-season. Apply a balanced, slow-release fertilizer to promote healthy growth and abundant blooming. Avoid overfeeding, as this can lead to excessive foliage growth at the expense of flowers.
Planting Instructions
Plant Spiked Punch Pinks in spring or early fall when temperatures are moderate. Choose a location with good air circulation and full sun to partial shade. Prepare the planting area by incorporating organic matter into the soil and ensuring proper drainage.
Dig a hole twice the width of the root ball and at the same depth. Place the plant in the hole, ensuring the crown is level with the soil surface. Backfill with soil, firm gently, and water thoroughly. Space plants 12-14 inches apart to allow for mature spread.
