Plant Information
Plant Care
Lungwort thrives in partially shaded areas and requires consistent moisture without becoming waterlogged. Remove any damaged or yellowing foliage throughout the growing season to maintain plant health and appearance. After flowering, trim back spent blooms to encourage fresh foliage growth. Apply a layer of compost in spring and maintain a 2-inch layer of mulch to retain moisture and suppress weeds.
Planting Instructions
Plant in spring or fall, spacing plants 18-24 inches apart. Dig a hole twice the width of the root ball and at the same depth. Place the plant at the same level it was growing in the container, backfill with soil, and water thoroughly. Add a layer of mulch around the plant, keeping it away from the crown to prevent rot. Water regularly during the first growing season to establish a deep root system.
