Seasons in the Sun Hosta thrives with consistent moisture but avoid overwatering. Remove spent flower stalks to maintain appearance. Apply a layer of mulch to retain moisture and suppress weeds. Divide every 4-5 years in early spring or late fall to maintain plant vigor.
Protect from slugs and snails, especially in spring when new growth emerges. This variety shows good resistance to deer and maintains its golden coloration better than many other yellow hostas.
Planting Instructions
Plant in spring or fall, spacing plants 36 inches apart. Dig a hole twice the width of the root ball and at the same depth. Position the crown at soil level and backfill with organic matter-enriched soil. Water thoroughly after planting.
Ensure proper air circulation around plants to prevent fungal issues. Apply a balanced, slow-release fertilizer in early spring when shoots emerge. Avoid planting in areas with strong afternoon sun to prevent leaf scorching.
