Plant Information

  • Latin Name: Rosa ‘Meimirrote’
  • Common Name: Apricot Drift Rose
  • Watering Requirements: Moderate
  • Sun Exposure: Full Sun
  • Soil Conditions: Well-draining, fertile soil
  • Mature Plant Height: 1.5-2 feet
  • Mature Plant Width: 2.5-3 feet
  • Plant Care

Apricot Drift Roses are exceptionally easy to maintain. Deadhead spent blooms regularly to encourage continuous flowering throughout the season. Apply a balanced fertilizer monthly during the growing season. Prune in early spring before new growth begins, removing dead or damaged branches and shaping as desired.

These roses demonstrate excellent disease resistance, particularly against black spot and powdery mildew. Winter protection may be necessary in colder regions; apply a thick layer of mulch around the base of the plant before winter sets in.

    Planting Instructions

Plant in spring or fall in a location that receives at least 6 hours of direct sunlight daily. Dig a hole twice the width of the root ball and just as deep. Mix organic matter into the native soil before backfilling. Space plants 2-3 feet apart for optimal growth and air circulation.

Water thoroughly after planting and maintain consistent moisture until established. Apply a 2-3 inch layer of mulch around the plant, keeping it away from the crown to prevent rot. Ensure proper drainage to avoid waterlogged soil.
