Plant Information
Plant Care
Queen of Hearts Bugloss is relatively low-maintenance once established. Water regularly during the first growing season to establish a deep root system. Apply a layer of mulch around the base to retain moisture and suppress weeds. Remove any damaged or yellowing foliage to maintain appearance. Divide plants every 3-4 years in early spring to maintain vigor and prevent overcrowding.
Planting Instructions
Plant in spring or fall, spacing plants 24 inches apart. Dig a hole twice the width of the root ball and at the same depth. Remove the plant from its container and gently loosen the roots. Place in the hole, ensuring the top of the root ball is level with the soil surface. Backfill with soil, firm gently, and water thoroughly. Add a 2-inch layer of mulch around the plant, keeping it away from the crown.
