Plant Information
Plant Care
Janed Gold Cedar is relatively low-maintenance once established. Water deeply and regularly during the first growing season to establish an extensive root system. Apply a layer of mulch around the base to retain moisture and suppress weeds. Fertilize in early spring with a balanced, slow-release fertilizer. Pruning is optional but can be done in late winter or early spring to maintain desired shape and size.
Planting Instructions
Plant in spring or fall for best results. Dig a hole twice as wide as the root ball and at the same depth. Remove the plant from the container and gently loosen the roots. Place in the hole, ensuring the top of the root ball is level with the soil surface. Backfill with soil, water thoroughly, and apply a 2-3 inch layer of mulch, keeping it away from the trunk.
