Plant Information
Plant Care
The Fat Cat Norway Spruce is remarkably low-maintenance once established. Water deeply but infrequently to encourage deep root growth. Apply a layer of mulch around the base to retain moisture and suppress weeds. Fertilize in early spring with a balanced, slow-release fertilizer formulated for conifers. Pruning is typically unnecessary but can be done in late winter or early spring to maintain shape.
Planting Instructions
Choose a location with adequate space for mature growth and well-draining soil. Dig a hole twice as wide as the root ball and at the same depth. Remove the plant from the container and gently loosen the roots. Place in the hole, ensuring the top of the root ball is level with the soil surface. Backfill with soil, water thoroughly, and apply a 2-3 inch layer of mulch, keeping it away from the trunk.
