Plant Information
Plant Care
The Dwarf Serbian Spruce is remarkably low-maintenance once established. Water regularly during the first growing season to establish a deep root system. After establishment, reduce watering frequency but maintain consistent moisture. Apply a layer of mulch around the base to retain moisture and suppress weeds. Fertilize in early spring with a slow-release evergreen fertilizer. Pruning is typically unnecessary, but you can remove dead or damaged branches as needed.
Planting Instructions
Plant your Dwarf Serbian Spruce in spring or early fall for optimal results. Choose a location with well-draining soil and adequate sunlight. Dig a hole twice as wide as the root ball and just as deep. Remove the plant from its container and gently loosen the roots. Place the tree in the hole, ensuring it’s at the same depth as it was in the container. Backfill with soil, water thoroughly, and apply a 2-3 inch layer of mulch around the base, keeping it away from the trunk.
