Plant Information
Plant Care
The Domingo Hybrid Pine is remarkably low-maintenance and adaptable. Regular watering is essential during the first growing season to establish a deep root system. Once established, this hardy pine requires minimal irrigation and thrives with annual fertilization in early spring. Pruning is optional but can be done in late winter to maintain shape and remove any damaged branches.
Planting Instructions
Select a location with full sun exposure and well-draining soil. Dig a hole twice the width of the root ball and equal in depth. Remove the container and gently loosen the roots. Place the tree in the hole, ensuring it sits at the same depth as it was in the container. Backfill with soil, tamping down gently to remove air pockets. Create a water basin around the tree and apply a 2-3 inch layer of mulch, keeping it away from the trunk. Water thoroughly after planting.
