Plant Information
Plant Care
Cranberry Cotoneaster Standards require minimal maintenance once established. Prune in late winter or early spring to maintain the desired shape and remove any dead or crossing branches. Regular watering is essential during the first growing season, but becomes drought-tolerant once established. Apply a balanced fertilizer in spring and mulch around the base to retain moisture and suppress weeds.
Planting Instructions
Select a location with adequate sunlight and well-draining soil. Dig a hole twice the width of the root ball and at the same depth. Remove the plant from its container and gently loosen the roots. Place in the hole, ensuring the graft union remains above soil level. Backfill with soil, water thoroughly, and add a 2-3 inch layer of mulch around the base, keeping it away from the trunk.
