Plant Information
Plant Care
The Compact Lacebark Pine is relatively low-maintenance once established. Regular watering is essential during the first growing season to develop a deep root system. After establishment, it becomes drought tolerant. Pruning is minimal and should only be done to remove dead or damaged branches. Apply a layer of mulch around the base to retain moisture and suppress weeds, but keep it away from the trunk to prevent rot.
Planting Instructions
Select a location with full sun and well-draining soil. Dig a hole twice the width of the root ball and at the same depth. Remove the plant from its container and gently loosen the roots. Place the tree in the hole, ensuring it’s straight and at the same level it was growing in the container. Backfill with soil, tamping down gently to remove air pockets. Water thoroughly and apply a 2-3 inch layer of mulch around the base, keeping it away from the trunk.
