Plant Information
Plant Care
The Columnar Mugho Pine is remarkably low-maintenance and adaptable. Water deeply but infrequently to establish a robust root system. While naturally columnar, light pruning in early spring can maintain desired shape. Apply a layer of mulch around the base to retain moisture and suppress weeds. This hardy evergreen is resistant to most pests and diseases, making it an ideal choice for both novice and experienced gardeners.
Planting Instructions
Select a location with adequate sunlight and well-draining soil. Dig a hole twice the width of the root ball and equal in depth. Remove the container and gently loosen the roots. Place the plant in the hole, ensuring it sits at the same depth as it was in the container. Backfill with soil, water thoroughly, and apply a 2-3 inch layer of mulch, keeping it away from the trunk.
