As we navigate this difficult time of COVID-19 and the new practice of “Social Distancing” we at Greenhouse to Garden want to let you know that our local garden centre located in Vaughan (Kleinburg), is still open.
Flower and Vegetable Plant Delivery and Curbside Pickup Available!
Although we are still open for business we have decided to close our garden centre doors to the public until it is once again safe to interact with each other. Although we are closed to the public, we have recently updated our website and online store to include all of our greenhouse products. This includes, flowers, hanging baskets, gardening supplies, soil, and a huge variety of vegetable plants!
Currently, it is a bit too cold to start planting your vegetables and flowers, but that does not mean you can’t start working on your yard or planning your gardens!
April is a great time to start cleaning up your flower beds and tilling soil in your garden. Over the winter you may find garbage, dead plants from last season, and other material that should be removed from any planting area.
For those of you who are planning to plant vegetables this spring tilling your vegetable garden beds now is a perfect pre-season activity. As an added extra step try adding some new enriched soil, sheep manure, or potting mix (with perlite) to your beds. This will help ensure that your garden is packed with nutrients and the soil is nice and “fluffy” for new roots to quickly penetrate.
